Meet the the heart of your Duke’s Lodge home. The Hub is a huge and stylish kitchen-diner with a lovely three- sided aspect to the east, west and south and access to the outdoor terraces. It is a wonderfully sociable room, flooded with light, where the stained glass, triangular end window is a stunning feature.

The doors of the Hub open directly onto the terraces, so it’s easy to take breakfast or coffee out overlooking the lawns on the south-east terrace. Cook and prep lunch or dinner inside to enjoy seated around the big tables outside in the Sunken Garden – the lower west terrace. Or why not fire up the terrace’s barbecue or pizza oven?
The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard, with plenty of pots and pans and more glasses and crockery than you can wave a stick at! With a wide array of fridges, there’s plenty of room for everyone’s choice of food and drink.

In the day, the room is wonderfully light, with large windows, patio doors and the colourful patterns through the triangular stained glass feature window.
At night the room is magically lit by several Tiffany-style lamps.
There is a comfy corner with two armchairs.
True to the eco-mindset of Duke’s Lodge, the room includes a number of upcycled pieces of furniture. Like the new equipment and kitchen, all of these were hand-picked with guest- comfort in mind.

The Story
This room houses details of Earsham Park Farm’s long history, from its roots back to William the Conqueror to then becoming a deer park for a duke and finally being transformed into a modern, environmentally aware now, arable farm.
The huge 16-seater table has been especially finished with historic storyline details set directly into its resin top. The carefully curated collection of pictures on the walls also delivers insights into the Farm’s heritage.

In summer, it is the perfect place for dining to spill out from the indoor space or re-focus around the built-in barbecue or wood-fired pizza oven.
In cooler months, the Hub offers a superbly bright and relaxed area for dining together – warmed by underfloor heating and our eco-friendly biomass system.
