A happy-go-clucky style of bedroom if ever there was one, The Hen House is pretty in pink, but at the same time bold and beautiful. You’ll find it on the first floor and possibly a little on the cocky side. But with a generous en-suite shower room and all the Smart TV stuff too, it’s fabulously comfy and fun – and that’s what counts!

The Story
We have named all our highly individual bedrooms to reflect the rich farming heritage of Duke’s Lodge at Earsham Park Farm.
In the past all farms had hens clucking around the yard, laying eggs in the most unsuitable places! Opposite the window, across the yard, was the old orchard. Sadly, it was decimated in the hurricane of 1987. All the old trees were uprooted and never replanted.
That area used to be full of chickens, turkeys and ducks. Our children used to collect the eggs, running the gauntlet of the aggressive cockerels and stag turkeys – and hopefully not dropping too many eggs in the process!
